RESETTING EXCHANGE CACHE
If you are using Outlook with an Exchange Email server, it's possible that your cache will become corrupt and may cause certain features to work incorrectly, such as viewing the current Global Address Book or other people's calendars.

If this happens you might need to clear out and rebuild the cache.

1) TURN OFF CACHE MODE

In Outlook click on the following to turn off cache mode:

Tools > Email Accounts >
View or change existing email accounts > Microsoft Exchange Server > Change

Uncheck the box: Use Cache Exchange Mode

Exit Outlook.

2) DELETE CACHE FILES

Search you computer for any file that is called .ost

START > Search > All Files and Folders > .ost > More Advanced Options > Search hidden files

and delete the files found that end with .ost

3) TURN ON CACHE MODE

In Outlook click on the following to turn cache mode back on:

Tools > Email Accounts >
View or change existing email accounts > Microsoft Exchange Server > Change

Put a check in the box: Use Cache Exchange Mode

Exit and then restart Outlook.

4) WAIT FOR CACHE TO REBUILD

When you start Outlook you'll notice that it will automatically connect to the Exchange server and start to download all necessary files and information. This may take several hours depending on the size of your email box.
