PREPARE YOUR COMPUTER FOR REMOTE ACCESS

There are a couple of things you need to set to allow you to use your PC remotely at night.


1 - TURN ON REMOTE DESKTOP
Note: For computers with WindowsXP-Pro or WindowsVista-Business only.

Find and Right-Click My Computer and select Properties.
Click on the Remote Access tab and make sure you have Remote Desktop box checked as shown here:





2 - TURN OFF STANDY AND HIBERNATION
Note: Do not change these settings on laptop/notebook computers.

Click on START and then Control Panel and then Power Options
Make sure that System Standby is set to Never.
Make sure that System Hibernation (if shown) is set to Never.





3 - LOG OFF YOUR COMPUTER AT NIGHT


At the end of the day, make sure you Log Off. Do not Shut Down or power off your computer.
